Pro Silva Ireland Forest Visit – Curragh Chase

This site is about changing the face of Irish forestry. I want to tell others who don't know, that there is another way to manage forestry plantations for timber production without cutting down the very forest that the timber grows in. It's about trees and forestry. It's about my observations in woodlands, watching how they grow and how they evolve and where the human being fits in to this picture. I'll be writing about forestry events; Pro Silva Ireland forest visits; the Local Project in the South Leitrim area; and my own experiences in managing forests in the Cavan/Leitrim area.
